The first week of my practice in English was interesting for the reason that I met
groups that I had never had during my experience as a teacher. Although the
practices in Spanish were in that same school, I never taught in secondary. For
this reason, it was necessary to introduce myself by activities in which each student presented herself in order to get to know each other. As I had classes with different secondary groups, all activities were different. The only group I knew from my previous practices was six grade, so it was easier to get the students interested in the activity because there is confidence.
The dynamic of these activities continued with eighth, ninth, tenth and eleventh grades. So, the classes elapsed normally with all grades and the students showed disposition at the time to perform the proposed activities.
I thought at the beginning of these practices that the work was going to be with the secondary, nevertheless, the English primary teacher of the school asked me to help her with the first grades due to there was a lot of things to do. For this reason, I agreed with both teachers of primary and secondary to work a week with secondary and the next one with primary.
I think that this would enrich my experience as a teacher because of the used methodologies for teaching Spanish with those grades need to be changed. On the other hand, primary students are not used to receiving class from me in English, so I think they would have problems with that at the beginning but students would do so.
